genaamd naar de plant - bestaat 2 jaar en viert dit met een debuut ep op Vlas Vegas, het Kortrijkse label dat bekend staat om haar festival, label en distro. De plaat zelf werd opgenomen op het symbolische 6 januari en klinkt even kil als warm als de sterre die nacht – mocht die al ooit geklonken hebben. Een geluid dat ergens huist tussen dat van Jesus & The Mary Chain, The Horrors en Fugazi. De mastering werd verzorgd door Josh Bonati in NY die eerder reeds werk verrichte voor HEALTH, Woods en Skeletons.

“Belgisch én straf! En vaak akelig afgekort als KKK. Hun debuut ‘Well Hunger’ kon alvast op veel bijval rekenen. Cutting Edge: “’Well Hunger’ is een egoïstische noise-uitstap die zwaar rockend begint met ‘When we were Hookers’, maar het meest geniet van de bakken sonische vuiligheid die Kapitan Korsakov erover strooit. Misleidend en boordevol dwaalsporen”. De single ‘When We Were Hookers’ sleepte zelfs op StuBru’s ‘Select’ de nominatie in de wacht van meest verschroeiende riff van ‘09. En dat tussen nog méér coole riffs van tracks van goed (inter)nationaal volk als The Hickey Underworld, A Place To Bury Strangers en Baroness. Imagine that all of rock and roll has converged on one band.
Now imagine that band taking on all of rock and roll, and wrestling it to the ground.
That band is KING KOOL.
With a beating core of Dan Donovan on vocals and guitars and Pas on vocals and drums, KING KOOL were born from the critically-rated Tribe Of Dan in 2005, stalking the English fens like Iggy Pop on the moors stalking the Hound of the Baskervilles.
Vampin is their third album released Feb 2010. Their 2005 album Roken took the spirit of the Stooges, the Pixies and Sonic Youth and forced it through the narrow screaming pipes of Motorhead and Black Sabbath.
The 2007 album, Yeah Yeah Liberté, did the same thing, only more so. The third, Vampin, just takes the severed, bleeding heads of the other two albums, bangs them together and creates some of the most utterly fearsome garage punk new wave no wave tidal wave music you have ever heard.
KING KOOL are the sound of your radio getting fed up with vomiting out crap year after year and taking the law into its own hands.
It’s every gang brawl between crack-crazed bikers and acid-addled nerds. It’s the future of the past and the present of the future.

Als sinds maart 2001 en met meer dan 400 optredens in België en Europa (Frankrijk, Duitsland, Hongarije, Kroatië, Zwitserland, Oostenrijk, Bosnië, Slowakije, Roemenië, Bulgarije, Servië) is Skarbone 14 berucht voor hun sterke live reputatie. Positieve vibes, onbezonnen en een explosieve energie, zo heeft de band het podium tot hun speelplein gevormd en geleerd om één te zijn met hun publiek.
Skarbone 14 staat voor een Franstalig ska rock manife(e)stief. Hun repertoire is vaak geengageerd, soms gek en gaat over het alledaagse leven en de wereld rondom ons…
10 jaar op de planken, 10 jaar op weg, 10 jaar vol decibels en zweet, 1 maxi (2003) en 3 albums (2005, 2007 en 2009).
Op het laatste album “Satellites”, released op 28 november 2009, hebben tal van vrienden meegewerkt zoals Baba Sissoko (Malinese grillo), Alex Conventi (keybord van 100 Grammes de tête), Vankou (zanger van Black Sheep) en vele anderen… “Satellites” verkent ook andere muzikale stijle zoals cumbia, merengue en salsa. Zo is het oorspronkelijke ska rock collectief in zijn geheel verrijkt. Het album is in de ‘Rising Sun Studio’ opgenomen en door Rudy Coclet gemasterd.
Skarbone 14 heeft al meer dan 100 optredens gespeeld in België en Europa om dit album te promoten. Verder vermelden we enkele opmerkelijke passages op gerenommeerde festivals (Sziget Festival – Hu, Dour Festival – Be, Festival des libertés/Festival van de Vrijheid – Be,…) waar de band heeft bewezen en bevestigd dat ze gemaakt is voor het podium…

Born in 1978, Fudge got in love with music at an early age through his sister.
Fudge first listened to new wave and punk music, later on he evolved to hardcore and heavy guitar stuff.
He never lost his love for guitar music, the name Fudge actually comes from the infamous EARACHE band Fudge Tunnel.
When he moved to Ghent to attend the University,Fudge discovered a variety of new styles of music.
Hiphop, Reggae and Ragga got him moving on the dancefloor as well as acid and techno.
It is at the old Democrazy club he first heared a jungle set spinned by Bob Miller alongside MC Skreen(1996).
The jungle virus infected him immediately. Instead of studying he started buying records at the Fried Chicken shop in Kortrijk and the Music Mania in Ghent and tried to mix them on his first crappy decks.
From there on he continued spinning jungle and drum'n'bass and started promoting parties with the WARRIORZ crew. They invited international guests such as Break, Silent Witness, Amit, Outrage and many more.
In 2005 Fudge got into the new dubstep vibe through DJ Mate. Milestone was the "Degenerate" LP from Vex'd. Fudge and Mate started to spin together on the Urgent.fm radioshow "After 12".
They started also promoting Dubstep parties in Ghent under the same name. International guests include Rusko, Martyn, Youngsta, Distance, Ramadanman, N-type and many more.

24/7 is een West-Vlaamse graffiticollectief.
De crew bestaat uit een 6-tal artiesten:
Timon, Jeps, Boris, Bombr, Stein en Pier.
Ieder van ons spuit al een tiental jaar en heeft al een hele reeks muren op zijn naam staan.
Maar pas in 2008 besloten we onze krachten te bundelen.
Door onze jarenlange ervaring zijn we er in geslaagd een herkenbare, eigen stijl te ontwikken.

Deze Limburgse woont al een 10-tal jaar in Kortrijk, ze nam in vrij korte tijd toch al een indrukwekkend aantal foto's,
waaronder een hele reeks bekende namen.
Enkele daarvan zijn the Beasty Boys, Thom Yorke van Radiohead, Marilyn Manson, Snow Petrol, Lemmy, Paul Wilson van Franz Ferdinand en the White Stripes.
Ze heeft ook al enkele fotoboeken uit o.a. 'Live Evil'(haar laatste) en was fotografe van de Metalkalender.
Frey publiceerde al in talloze toonaangevende rocktijdschriften.
Cindy is ook een overtuigd veganiste, Ze richtte een dierenrechtenorganisatie op binnen de hardcorescene, velen kennen Cindy als ‘Cindy Animal Truth’.
Ze organiseert zelf benefietoptredens en kookt veganmaaltijden voor bands.
Op het terrein zal ze foto's van de concerten en de bands maken en stelt ze er ook haar werk tentoon!

Deze jonge 5-koppige band uit Waregem behaalde reeds een mooi palmares in de korte tijd dat ze actief zijn. Zo wonnen ze verscheidene rockrally’s en behaalden ze BRONS op WESTTALENT 2009, het west-vlaamse, provinciale rockconcours. Onlangs nog wonnen ze Rock 'o' Rama in Stekene waardoor ze een plekje kregen op de affiche van het prestigieuze festival Crammerock.
The Vault haalt zijn mosterd bij de fijnere genres zoals Electro/Stonerrock en blues. Een favoriete groep heeft The Vault niet, ze hebben er veel. Dit zorgt er voor dat elk nummer anders klinkt, maar toch slagen ze er in nu al een sterke eigen sound naar voor te brengen.

7 WEEKS s’est formé en avril 2006 à Limoges. « All Channels Off », leur premier album est le fruit de 3 années à créer un mur du son empruntant tant au Stoner qu’à la scène post-grunge ou au Rock Heavy. Il succède à une première démo et un premier EP "B(l)ack Days" qui ont popularisé le nom du groupe et l’ont poussé sur les routes. 100 concerts depuis fin 2006 en passant par le Printemps De Bourges, le Rock For People Festival (Cz Rep), les supports de Suicidal Tendencies & Infectious Grooves sur la tournée française de début 2010. Le groupe a également joué avec Placebo, Arctic Monkeys, The Datsuns, Brant Bjork, the Inspector Cluzo, the Vibrators, Mass Hysteria, Lofofora...

ZOE
ZOE voit le jour à la fin des années 90, dans le Nord de la France, entre Calais et Dunkerque. Très vite, les rockeurs rodent leur set un peu partout dans la région, devant un public, de plus en plus enthousiaste. Ils décident alors de tenter le premier album ; “Make It Burning” est né. Un pur concentré de rock'n'roll stoner aux influences hard rock seventies, une rencontre improbable entre Motorhead et Queens Of The Stone Age. C'est une réussite saluée par la presse spécialisée.
Pour défendre ce premier album, les gars de ZOE prennent la route, pour une tournée marathon passant entre autre par la France, l'Allemagne, la Belgique, la Suisse, l'Espagne, partageant la scène avec des groupes tels que The Bellrays, Ted Nugent, Lords Of Altamont, les Fleshtones, Alice Cooper, Tokyo Sex Destruction, les Datsuns, The Saints…
Trois ans après, ZOE place la barre encore plus haut avec son deuxième album : “Dirty Little Sister”. Olivier t'Servrancx, d'Electric box, a su écouter le groupe et retranscrire le son live que ZOE délivre à chaque concert et qui nous enivre jusqu'à la transe rock'n'rollienne. La batterie est puissante et débridée, la basse est ronde et féline quand il le faut et les guitares bien grasses crachent leurs riffs comme des chiennes enragées. Les voix aux multiples facettes racontent les histoires incroyables vécues par le groupe, sur la route.
“Dirty Little Sister” c'est avant tout un album stoner avec des compos aux riffs lourds et hypnotiques (“Let's Get This Show on the road”, “Shot Me Down” ou “Many Roots For One Tree”). Les titres aux accents sleazy rock tels que “Keep Your Noses Clean” ou “Wanker For Life” qui s'écoutent sur l'autoroute, pied au plancher, en côtoient d'autres aux grooves différents, comme “Fat City” au riff et à la rythmique seventies façon Wolfmother… Sans oublier “Blue Devils” qui se cloture sur une touche “bluesy” …et comme sur le premier album, toujours des titres fédérateurs tels que “Keep On Fighting” et “On The Other Side Of The Tracks” où le public pourra chanter, tout en levant sa bière.
Côté “visuel”, cette fois, les membres de Zoé font appel à Cap'tain Nico, touche-à-tout illustrateur et graphiste qui depuis plus de 20 ans hisse les toiles pour des aventures iconographiques exubérantes. Pour cette escale, il jette l'encre d'un trait vif et aiguisé, et emballe les 12 titres puissants de “Dirty Little Sister” en créant une pochette protéiforme et dépliable, repoussant les limites du format CD pour laisser se déployer et s'exposer une créature hybride et (quasi)mythologique, sorte de Bad Girl “poulpeuse” et fascinante dont les tentacules menaçants claquent tels des fouets excités !

ZOE was born in the late 90's, in the North of France, between Calais and Dunkerque. Very soon, the rock musicians grind their set almost everywhere in the area, in front of public, a more and more enthusiastic one. They decide to attempt the first album; "Make It Burning" was born. A pure concentrated of stoner rock n roll with hard rock seventies influences, an improbable meeting between Motorhead and Queens Of The Stone Age. It is a success greeted by the specialist publications.
To defend this first album, Zoe 's guys left on the road, for a marathon tour crossing among others France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, sharing the stage with bands such as; The Bellrays, Ted Nugent, Lords Of Altamont, Fleshtones, Alice Cooper, Tokyo Sex Destruction, Datsuns, The Saints …
Three years later, ZOE raises the bar with its second album, "Dirty Little Sister". Olivier t'Servrancx of Electrik Box studio knew how to listen to the band and to retranscribe the live sound which ZOE delivers in every gig and which makes drunk us until the rock and roll trance. The drum is powerful and unbridled, the bass is round and feline when one needs and the very fat guitars spit their riffs as furious bitches. The multiple-facetted vocals tell the incredible road stories lived by the band during the tour.
"Dirty Little Sister" is a stoner album with compositions in heavy and hypnotic riffs as Let's Get This Show one the road, Shot Me Down or Many Roots For One Tree. We find also titles with sleasy rock accents such as Keep Your Noses Clean or Wanker For Life wich can be listened to on the highway, foot on the floor, neighbouring with others in different grooves, as Fat City in a seventies way riff and rhythmic in the way of Wolfmother. Without forgetting Blue Devils which ends on a bluesy touch and as on the first album, always federative titles such as Keep On Fighting and On The Other Side Of The Tracks where the public can sing, while raising a beer.
About the artwork, this time, Zoe 's members have called for Cap'tain Nico, a dabbler illustrator and graphic designer who has hoisted paintings for exuberant iconographic adventures for more than 20 years. For this stopover, he throws the ink of a lively and sharpened line, and packs 12 powerful titles of "Dirty Little Sister" by creating a protean-dressed and fold out jacket, pushing away the limits of the CD format to let spread and expose itself a hybrid and (almost) mythological creature, a kind of fascinating “curvaceous octopus bad girl” whose threatening tentacles slam such as excited whips!

UNWANTED TATTOO
Punk Rock & Roll uit St. Denijs - Voorstelling Demo
PAZ_ runt een fake-tattooshop in Watoo (NL) en is daarnaast ook nog drukker van labels voor een bekend bananenmerk, vandaar misschien z’n gekke bijnaam ‘the Inksniffer’...als hobby verzamelt hij exotisch fruit.
RINE_ a.k.a. ‘the ponybitch’ is als professionele kruidenheks meesteres in het manipuleren van de smaakpapillen... ze heeft het gezelschap van twee katten: M&M oftewel Mean en Mojito ... Mean is de dikkerd ...
ANNE_ Rickenbackèir werkt als hacker voor de B.F.P. , een losse staatsjob dus, terwijl ze ook nog parttime actief is als Aldi-winkeldivegge...alleen al om de bussen pledge te kunnen betalen die nodig zijn om haar ‘S. Hoffs baby’ glanzend en glijdend te houden.
BARNEY_ Maskman studeert al voor de zesde keer voor het diploma us-oldtimer-arachnoloog, tevergeefs...gelukkig kan hij zijn frustratie uitwerken op z’n trommelbak...
Net na de split van hun legendarische meidenpunkband THE LOVEHANDLES emigreerde drumster GeGe naar Australië en bleven Rine P.B. en Anne R. verweesd achter, het bestaan was te kort en te intens geweest , de toekomst was onzeker...
totdat ze door Paz I.S. werden lastiggevallen op een erotische tatoomeeting in Leiden,de aanvang van hét UNWANTED TATTOO verhaal !
Paz faxte nog de Ex-FAROUTSKI drummer Barney M.M., die hij kende van die keer tijdens een optreden van zijn ex-band DUITSE HERDER , in een kraakpand op moederdag. Al gauw kwamen ze na repetitieweekend-experimenten met cocktails, russische roulette, chicken rides met mustangs en vedettkratten-werpen ...tot een paar opnames die op tape werden gezet ergens in een duistere douanestudio, 195 genaamd.

Ik ga jullie niet proberen te overtuigen, lees deze onderstaand Humo-artikel
Mokerdrums, feedback, distortion, herrie, hapering, en na tien seconden: de bevrijdende killer riff.
De groove is gevonden, en we zijn vertrokken op één van de meest opwindende rockroetsjbanen van 2009.
Ros uit Glasgow verhuist met haar gitaar naar Londen en plaatst een advertentie 'Rock-'n-rollfreak gezocht.'
Zo leert ze Vas kennen, die van haar Griekse vader geen gitaar mocht spelen en dus maar trommelstokken kocht.
Aanvankelijk speelt ene X mee op bas, maar zij stapt op (het liedje 'The Power of Three' blijft wel)
Het resterende duo werkt twee jaar aan 'How Did It Get to This', doet alles zelf en neemt op telkens als het genoeg
steungeld heeft gespaard. 'We rock like girls don't' schrijven ze als verkooppraatje op een demo.
Het wordt de groepsnaam.
Opener 'Violence' geeft meteen twee invloeden prijs: Queens of the Stone Age en PJ Harvey, met een vette
verwijzing naar 'Sheela-Na-Gig'. Wat volgt is zo'n onwelvoeglijke oproer van oneliners en gratuit gitaargeweld dat de
jonge Joan Jett spontaanvoor de geest floept. 'Queen of Heavy Metal' en 'I Just Wanna Stick My Head in the Bass Drum'
heten twee hoogtepunten (dat de Ramones nooit op zulke geniale titels gekomen zijn!).
De volgende regel in dat laatste nummer gaat zo: 'I just wanna kiss you hard until you come'.

Na 'Rock 'N' Roll Freak' - Elastica op maat van The Stooges en straks de coolste feel good hit of the summer
sinds 'MF From Hell' van The Datsuns - halen deze Eaglettes of Death Metal.
Eeven de bottine van het gas voor de powerballad 'Photograph' ('Afrekening'-materiaal).
'How Did It Get To This': elf smerige vluggertjes op dik dertig minuten door twee vuilgebekte rockwijven,
die even strak samenspelen als ze eruitzien. Moeder, dáárom leven wij.
